The last dividend decrease took place on September 14, 2017, with a decrease from $0.45 per share, to $0.35 per share. A decrease of $0.1, or 22.22%. When we sum dividends on an annual basis, we get the following chart. We can see that the overall trend on a yearly basis is down. Based on this trend, we estimate Ship Finance International Limi to have an annual dividend of $1.44 by the end of 2017. With an average annual dividend shrink rate of 2.43%, it expected that dividends will be cut in half roughly every 28.8 years. Let's try to simulate how a $10000 investment 10 years ago would look like today. $10000 on November 20, 2007, bought 394.17 shares of Ship Finance International Limi. During this time you would have collected $6,303 in dividends. Reinvesting these dividends over time would have resulted in 704.49 more shares of Ship Finance International Limi in your portfolio. Reinvesting also means you could have collected $6,222 of additional dividends, and bring your total revenue to $12,524. The revenue growth represents the sum of dividends collected during the first year vs. the last year of ownership. Here are some key dividend-related statistics for Ship Finance International Limi: A dividend per share value of $1.4, results in a current yield of 0.09%. With earning-per-share value of $1.21, the calculated payout ratio is 116%. The last recorded pay date was on September 29, 2017. Let's try to simulate how a $10000 investment today would look 20 years from now. $10000 on November 17, 2017, will buy 667 shares of Ship Finance International Limi. During 2018 the projected yearly dividend revenue is $940 - a yield-to-cost of 9.4%. During 2037, the projected yearly dividend revenue is $494 - a yield-to-cost of 4.94%, which also translates to decline of $445 or -47% If you will re-invest the dividend back into buying more Ship Finance International Limi shares, your dividend revenue on 2037 is projected to be $1,233, assuming the price per share remains the same. This is an increase of $294 or 31% compared to the first year of ownership. Dividend reinvesting has the potential to bring in 149% of additional revenue compared to the non-DRIP alternative. The UK is a leading modern maritime centre with many global businesses already based here and annually contributes around £11 billion to the economy. The Department for Transport Shipping and Ports Minister Robert Goodwill is joined by key industry figures to showcase our one-stop-shop maritime professional and business services sectors on which the global industry relies. The Maritime Growth Study demonstrates our willingness to examine the challenges we face, our commitment to listen to partners and our ambition to act. Find out more about the publication of the Maritime Growth Study at the launch of London International Shipping 2015 here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/major-maritime-report-launched-as-london-international-shipping-week-gets-underway Video Transcript: Robert Goodwill MP A thriving maritime sector is fundamental to this government’s vision for a prosperous Britain. A vision with our maritime industries at the heart of our economy, driving growth and innovation. Michael Parker The maritime industry contributes around £11 billion a year to the UK economy, and we employ, as an industry, around a quarter of a million people in this country. Guy Platten The UK maritime sector is composed of so many different parts of the cluster. We have it all here. We’ve got the ship managers, we’ve got the ship owners, we’ve got law firms, accountancy firms, finance houses, consultancies, training providers, we’ve got a highly skilled workforce, we’ve got an adaptable economic policy, we’ve got stable democracy and a good rule of law. So it’s so many good reasons to come to the UK to set up a maritime business. Robert Mortimer The biggest challenge I think is to stay looking long term, to look ahead. To look ahead, to look at the increasing, the growth in global trade, and therefore the opportunities available for the UK to capture more of that trade, whether it’s in the port sector or shipping or services. And to invest to be prepared for that trade. Lord Mountevans What we have done recently under government leadership, a Maritime Growth Study was commissioned which I have been privileged to chair. This is the first time for some 20 years that a major review has been made of both how government is organised in this sector and also how business promotes itself. Doug Barrow And that’s an opportunity to see where we can be more competitive as a country and to contribute more to the economy, and that’s very important that we get that right. Robert Goodwill MP Sea trade will double by 2030 and the UK’s maritime and marine sectors are ready to seize the opportunities this creates.

The project involved the retrofitting of the 1,036-teu feeder container ship’s MAN 8L48/60B main engine to a multi-fuel, four-stroke MAN 51/60DF unit that enables dual-fuel operation – the first such conversion of its type the world has ever seen. The dual-fuel conversion has enabled the ‘Wes Amelie’ to significantly reduce its SOx emissions by 99%, NOx by approximately 90%, and CO2 by up to 20%. The vessel now meets both the Tier II and Tier III emission requirements set by the International Maritime Organisation. Nearly a decade of overcapacity in one sector or another has thrown a necessary spotlight on potential tools that will be the bedrock of industrial revolution.
